My Memorial Day post is a tribute to a fallen hero. You are looking at the bedroom of CPL Christopher G Scherer, USMC. CPL Scherer was killed in action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq on July 21, 2007. Just a detail from an alarm bell at the Malden Mills for today. I’m still on Long Island. Actually, I’m probably heading home as you are reading this. I found this little alley between the Pemberton Mill in Lawrence and the neighboring building intriguing. The doorway of the Pemberton with the vines clinging to the brick was cool enough, but what did it for me was the graffiti tags on the door and window across the alley. This is another of my re-processed Ireland images. I find it hard to believe it took me almost three years to “find” this image.
