I immediately recognized the 4 towering silos that overlook the Dry Docks from one of Brian Matiash’s images.

Brian and I had been talking about hitting this area for a while. From what he told me about his previous visits, and based on the images I’ve seen of his, I had high expectations.

I was not disappointed. It is a target rich environment. We spent the first half hour or so roaming around the silos, carving compositions out of these massive concrete creations.

I took a minimalist approach to this, focussing on the shapes and texture.
