Jacque’s Chair

[singlepic id=1250 w=750 float=center]

As I mentioned on Monday, I had a great day rocking the mills with my friend Jacob Lucas on Sunday.

When we first arrived, I played tour guide and walked Jacob through the floors we would be shooting. When we got to this room, I realized I had never shot it. There was a desk a couple of boxes in one corner. And there was that chair. And great light.

I immediately thought of my friend, and extremely talented photographer, Jacques Gudé. He’s a sucker for a well placed chair and dramatic light. Jacques’ work constantly amazes me. Guarantee, it will amaze you, too.

So this shot is for you, Jacques! Nobody does chairs like you, so please don’t be too critical.

The chair was noticed by Jacob as well. And, of course, he also thought of Jacques. His version is here. Be sure to check it out and spend some tome on his site as well. You’ll be glad you did.

  1. Hmmm… “Chair Whisperer” has a good ring to it and it rhymes nicely with “Stair Whisperer”. Have you and Jacques got something going on, Bob? 🙂

  2. My brutha! You knocked this one way out of the park. I have to admit, I sure am a freq for chairs, and you captured and processed this one superbly! The light coming in through both windows, and the shadow of the window frame on the chair and the floor are ace! And Dave, I love the idea of the Stair Whisper and Chair Whisperer partnership,
