Spicket River

[singlepic id=1737 w=850 float=center]

Another shot from my weekend photo walk through the mill yard.

For this shot I braved the construction rubble and scampered under a footbridge spanning the Spicket River in Lawrence.

In my head, I saw it as an HDR shot. I got home and processed as such and it was fine … blog worthy, I thought. But it lacked a sense of drama for me.

I went back to the “zero” exposure and brought it into Nik SilverEfex Pro for BW conversion.

There, that’s better.

  1. definitly a shot worth hanging on the wall! I’m a fan of Nik’s SilverEfex too, and you did a great job here with it.
