Crammed into the four(ish) days of NXNW each year is a lot of photography, a lot of creative collaboration and a lot of laughter. On the flip side, there is very little sleep and there are absolutely no regrets. It is four days of chasing the illusive unicorn and the perfect pint. This year an additional hunt was on for lobster traps and lighthouses.
And the bar was raised. A proposal was … er … proposed. A book! A book! Something to remember the trip by! We’ll select some of our images, add snarky comments and make a book! So I am on it tonight. Selecting a few images from the trip to send to Scott.
Who, you ask? This guy (look up). That’s my friend Scott Wyden Kivowitz on top of Cadillac Mountain, making some magic. Scott is a photographer, writer, educator and SEO guru from New Jersey. Scott is also the first person to ever sign up for a Historic Mills Photography Workshop (for which I am very grateful!). Finally, Scott is one of the reasons that the NXNW trip is always such a success. Of course, there are almost a dozen other similar reasons — each with a different name.
We’re making a book together.
