Another image from my shoot with Brian Matiash yesterday.

This shot is from one of the wings, at the top of one of the stairwells. The plaster could have fallen just hours before we got there, but something tells me the 100+ year old plaster let go long before that.

There are a few businesses still being run out of the Stone Mill, but the top floor is completely empty. There are clues that the last time it was inhabited by a business, it was used as a storage area. Several handwritten signs written in both English and Spanish tell me that it was occupied within 25-30 years. Oh … and the Boston Herald newspaper, dated 1988 was a pretty good clue as well
