Most of the mills of the Industrial Era appear to have stairways similar to this one and whenever I come across one I’m compelled to shoot it.
This one is in the Second Hand Store building. The store has been in operation for 30 years. Walking through it is like walking through everyone’s grandmother’s attic. I mean that literally. It is a warehouse full of remnants of people’s lives and past eras. In my walk through I saw everything from leather chairs to old bottles to stacks of record albums (a Perry Como record sitting on top of one). And yes, I’m sure you can find a turntable to play it on.
I am going to ask the owner if he’ll allow me to go in and do an HDR shoot of his store.
