This is another stairwell in the Everett Mill. It is very unique with the angled center wall and round windows. It is wider than the other stairways in the building and feels much more open. I also love the tiered brick molding at the ceiling. The craftsmanship is really amazing.

Those of you familiar with my work, know how much shooting I do in and around the Mills in Lawrence. Images from the Everett Mill and its neighbor, the Stone Mill are often featured here on my blog. I learned yesterday that the Stone Mill is about to undergo some renovations. As badly as the building needs it, I was a little saddened by the news.

I had been thinking that I have had my fill of the building. I have dozens of images of the top two floors of the Stone Mill which I feel really capture the essence of the building. I’ve reversed my thinking. I think I need to go back and shoot more.
