Empty Space

Seriously, I’m at a complete loss for a title of this image. The place is empty, and it takes up a lot of space. I can’t say much more about it.

What I can say is that this image was one small part of a fantastic day of shooting in a couple of buildings in Lawrence last Friday.

The day started in an abandoned paper products manufacturing building. I spent 4-5 hours exploring its vast emptiness. It was an amazing urbex photography adventure. For each image I grabbed, I passed on three others. Look for several of them (and some info on the building) over the next week or so. And, I hope, many more in the future, if I can get back in to shoot.

The second part of my day, last Friday, was spent shooting an operating machine shop in Lawrence. As the saying goes, “They don’t make ’em like they used to.”

More on that, in photos, later.
