Bolton Emerson Americas: Control
no images were found
For today’s Machine Shop image, I focussed on this controller. I believe it controls one of the hydraulic booms that lifts material to and from the huge boring machines that line one side of the main building. The gigantic boring machines mill and grind, with precision, the really big parts of the pulping machines produced by Bolton Emerson Americas.
No nano-technology here.
One of their products is called the “tornado pulper.” With a name like that, be sure to stand clear. Don’t fall into the vat.
Just ran across this photo which I saw on your home page. I have a thing for industrial HDR and this one is terrific. I like the slightly muted colors (don’t know if that was a post-processing thing or just the way it came out) and the way you used DOF. Really like the sharpness of the controller. Very cool.
