I could have probably spent the entire day photographing the amphitheater at Arlington National Cemetery, located behind the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Last Saturday, the light was perfect and crowds were thin.
For this shot I had to wait only a few seconds to let a handful of tourists clear the way.
Love the columns and curve of the walkway…the shadows and light are majestic!
Awesome composition, Bob. The curve leads me right through the frame and the shadows add some awesome drama!
WOwww … fantastic use of curve in the composition and stunning treatment. Great control of lights and shadows
Wonderful light, great light/shadow lines, so many nice elements in this shot.
Outstanding! This is my kind of shot – geometric, clean, subtle colour, great texture, lovely light.
Great shot! I shot that amphitheater last year and just loved the architecture. I might need to go back and reprocess that one someday, ’cause it’s one of my favorite HDRs.
Appreciate the comments guys!
Great shot! I probably couldn’t say it better that Dave Wilson did. HDR? How many exposures?
