The Cottage

no images were found

Tiny ruins, like this one, seem to be everywhere in Ireland. We came upon this the day we visited the Cliffs of Moher.

Stopping to get this shot provided another opportunity for my family to mock me for photographing depressing subjects.

Its what I do.

  1. I don’t find this image depressing at all! I love the “nature takes back” aspect of the building, beautiful sky and great landscape… Nicely done!

  2. It isn’t depressing – it’s gorgeous. I think it’s very revealing about peoples’ personalities as to what sorts of images they find ‘depressing.’ To me this image says that once someone lived in this beautiful place, woke every morning to the sun on the mountains and fell asleep in the darkness that only happens in remote places like this – darkness so absolute that every star in the heavens shines clearly.

  3. If it was black and white it would be super depressing, this is just regular depressing.
