One Tree Hill
The backdrop of clouds that morning really helped isolate this tree at the top of the hill at Chautauqua Park in Boulder, Colorado.
I set out that morning to get an iconic shot of the Flatirons but the shot I had in mind never materialized. That’s not a bad thing. It forced me to think different. Different compositions, different angles. I wasn’t going to be able to return to shoot there any time soon, so I had to play the hand I was dealt.
I stole the title from a U2 song from the Joshua Tree album. It seemed to fit. Its also a reminder that Monday will be the first of my weekly “random rock lyric” challenges. At the end of the post will be a random line from a classic (or not so classic) rock and roll song. The title of the post will include an additional clue that may or may not relate to the image.
Awesome Shot Bob! I love the Boulder area. Too bad the Flatirons shot never materialized, but that’s part of the game.
The spring is comming and this pic has a great perpective. I love the picture like the U2 song. U2 is my favourite group !
