The Stone Attic

I’m winding down a week of panorama images. This one is from the top floor of the Stone Mill.
This, like yesterday’s pano (and tomorrow’s), was captured with the 24mm PC-E lens. Its one of my favorite uses of this lens. By shooting one shot (or one set of brackets) at all three shifting positions of the lens, you can get a nearly perfectly aligned set of image. Stitching is a breeze using Photoshop (File > Automate > Photomerge).
Really cool use of light and darkness here. I also like the center section of flooring being different enough to lead you to the light at the end. Cool shot!
Great lines and the light mix is very nice!
Like it Bob – really ominous feel with the overwhelming amount of darkness in the shot with the glimmer of light at the end of the attic.
Wow, this is just amazing. I’m sure blown-up even bigger the details would be incredible.
Hauntingly beautiful. Love the long lines. What lurks in the shadows? Great stuff!
I like the ‘light at the end of the tunnel’ feel of this one. Awesome pano!
Holy crap, Bob! I love this shot! Man, you have a talent for shots like this!
Outstanding image Bob! I love the mood and the sense of mystery in the pano. Very nice work my man.
Stunning perspective and use of lights and shadows !
Great comp and pano!
Exactly the technique I use, you have far less ‘bend’ though – superb work – really nice atmosphere to this one.
Another nice pano, good work. I really like the light coming through from various spots here.
I honestly don’t know if I would walk towards the light. If I did, I would surely stay on the right side of the room.
