If We Hadn’t Broken up on Wednesday Night, Thursday Would Have Been a Year

Its not just the image title, its also the name of the record on this cool old Victrola that lives at the Lawrence History Center. I asked to photograph it when I was there on Saturday. They graciously complied.
These old 78 RPM records are cave drawings compared to todays MP3s, but they bring back a lot of memories. My dad had a ton of them. And by the way, they weighed a ton. In fact, you can easily carry several thousand songs in MP3 format to two songs (front and back) on a 78.
Anyway, feeling nostalgic for big clunky things, I decided to process this in a vintage kind of way.
Hope you like it.
The title is wonderful and your processing was a perfect choice. Love the total look and feel!
Great processing! Love the vintage feel you captured in this shot.
Fantastic shot! Well done!
Fantastically vintage, love the framing and everything.
Ah, nostalgia. Nothing like records to bring that feeling to you!
Really cool shot. Nicely done. The old school treatment on it works perfect.
Good choice with the processing Bob. What a great image
My grandmother had a Victrola that she wouldn’t get rid of, brings back memories. Amazing image!
This brings back memories of dusty closets and the first family “music center” I remember which had 33 1/3, 45 and 78rpm choices for the turntable speed. I recently had to explain to my kids what it meant when I told them they sounded like a scratched record. How time flies, eh?
Oh, great image too, by the way!
This has a great vintage feel to it. I especially like the reflection on the record.
Wow, Bob, this is absolutely amazing! Love the composition here; and your post processing is absolutely exquisite!
Thanks so much for the comments everyone. Much appreciated!
