Yesterday I overcame a general lack of motivation and dragged myself and my gear to the High Service Water Tower in Lawrence, Massachusetts. I’ve been in touch with the right people in the City and technically, have the permission to shoot the interior. It is just a question of coordination and timing.
This is not your standard water tower. It is a brick and granite tower, with a conical bell-tower roof. The main structure is hexagonal in shape, with a cylindrical section on the side, which (I believe) houses the spiral staircase that snakes to the top.
Today’s shot is a detail of the roof.
I love these architectural studies; great textures and details to enjoy in this one Bob!
