Seabrook Tide

This is something I shot a couple of weeks ago on a short day trip to Seabrook Beach in New Hampshire. It wasn’t originally intended for publication. After processing it I decided I liked the concept, but was not completely happy with the execution here. But after a long night or travel and an urge to post something, it caught my eye. So here we are.
Oh, about the long night of travel. Our trip to North Carolina was fine up until the last leg of the flight home. We missed our connecting flight in Philly due to delays. We managed to get onto a later flight to Boston, but got stacked up on the tarmac in Philly as more thunderstorms roared through. Then, after sitting there for two hours, we had to go back to the gate in order to comply with federal law. Evidently, if you are sitting on the tarmac for two hours, the airline is required by law to return to the gate in order to let passengers get off and refresh — even if you are almost ready to take off.
So between delays, layover and more delays, a 5 hour return trip with two short flights turned into a 13 hour ordeal.
Anyway, I did come back with some great images for the Blog. I’ll be processing some this weekend. You’ll start seeing them on them on Monday.
Wow, jesus. That’s a travel nightmare, sorry to hear that.
Don’t mind me while I pull up a chair and just sit here for a bit and enjoy this view. If you wouldn’t mind, I’ll take a girly drink with an umbrella as well 😉
Sweet pano Bob! Love the cool/warm tones! Psyched to see images from your trip!
I dig the concept as well. I like the blend of tones it has. Funny though, I think the slight distortion on the horizon line makes this shot way more interesting. I don’t think it would work as well straight. Nice job!
Love the pano with the milky water. Hope you have a nice weekend to recharge from all the travels!
God, Bob, if this was a shot you weren’t going to post, what ELSE do you have stuck away on your hard drives at home, dude? AMAZING! And yeh, I cannot wait until Monday now, there goes the weekend… *taps fingers on desk*
I love this bob…great composition and concept! It works for me and goes beyond the usuall image.
love this man….really serene, with a twist of violence.
