I could say I found this cool old radio on some great photo shoot in a long forgotten place, but I’d be lying if I did. I ‘found’ it proudly displayed on a shelf  at a friend’s house. So I asked if I could shoot it.

This art deco beauty is a 1939 Philco table top model.

  1. Don’t make ’em like the used to. Imagine making a radio out of wood… Too cool! And when was the last time you heard the word, “kilocycles”?? Love the color and DoF.

  2. I love vintage items and you did this one justice with terrific processing and perfect focus (I remember Philco – I guess that makes me old)

  3. I don’t think it matters WHERE you found it, Bob. What matters is how you captured it,and you did that most wonderfully. I really love the warm amber tones of this great old radio. Bautifully composed, as well, with the narrow slats of the speaker leading nicely to the fabulous radio station indicator.
