Philco

I could say I found this cool old radio on some great photo shoot in a long forgotten place, but I’d be lying if I did. I ‘found’ it proudly displayed on a shelf at a friend’s house. So I asked if I could shoot it.
This art deco beauty is a 1939 Philco table top model.
Really fun shot, loving it!
Love the focal point, the processing, and vintage feel to the whole shot. Just simply love this!
Don’t make ’em like the used to. Imagine making a radio out of wood… Too cool! And when was the last time you heard the word, “kilocycles”?? Love the color and DoF.
I love vintage items and you did this one justice with terrific processing and perfect focus (I remember Philco – I guess that makes me old)
Bob, cool find. I really how you brought the character out. Nicely done!
It’s a great radio and terrific shot. The selective focus is perfect.
Ha! Man, I was just taking shots of a different model of one of these this Saturday. I like your angle on it. Nice shot.
Gorgeous. Love the tones and focus. Just fantastic.
Oh man, this is just gorgeous.
I don’t think it matters WHERE you found it, Bob. What matters is how you captured it,and you did that most wonderfully. I really love the warm amber tones of this great old radio. Bautifully composed, as well, with the narrow slats of the speaker leading nicely to the fabulous radio station indicator.
PROPER.
Great find and beautiful shot Bob!
Cooooool picture!
