Bolton Emerson Americas: Phil

no images were found

Phil is part of the crew at Bolton Emerson Americas. I grabbed this shot of him last year during one of my first visits to the shop. I posted an HDR version of it at the time. I liked it, but thought BW fit the subject better.

I may have mentioned in another post that I was thinking of putting this series into a book. Well, I am definitely moving forward with the project. It will be a collection of images from the facility (both the HDR and B&W) along with some context around the images and bits of the company’s history. A couple of people at BEA have offered to help with the copy.

Blurb seems like the best option for printing (the print on demand model), but if anyone knows of other options I’d love to hear about them. Also, if anyone has had any personal experience with Blurb worth sharing (positive or negative) leave a or drop me a line.

  1. Great to know that you will be making a book with your images, Bob. they truly deserve that!
By coincidence, Im now also considering to publish a book with some of my images too! I did some research and came across Blurb, but someone suggested me to have a look at MyPublisher (http://www.mypublisher.uk.com/), since their books are supposed to have very high quality too. Anyway, I have no personal experience with them, so i cannot vow for either

  2. OH WOW! I would love to get a copy of that, Bob!! We used Blurb ourselves for our books and we love the service and company. The printed end products are fabulous in quality and we easily sold all the books we had printed and brought in. Drop me a line if you have any specific questions, I’d be happy to help out!
