Water Power

[singlepic id=1649 w=865 float=center]

Another one from the archives, taken about five years ago in Lowell, Massachusetts.

Pawtucket Falls is a wonderfully turbulent stretch of the Merrimack River, especially just after a stretch of heavy rains.

That day I spent a couple of hours on the edge of the river (had to hop a fence, so I’m sure I wasn’t supposed to be there) and exploring the locks under the gatehouse.

I knew I wanted to slow the water, but at that time I didn’t have a 10 stop ND filter. I stopped down stacked my Polarizing filter with an ND4 filter.

Of course, this is a wider shot. I recently re-processed it in SilverEfex Pro then added a t/s blur in onOne’s FocalPoint.
