I thought this image would be fitting for a Friday.
Coventry reminded me of Lowell, Massachusetts, the city I grew up in — a small working class industrial city with a strong immigrant population. And a college town with more than a few pubs. I just couldn’t stay in Coventry for 5 days without taking some time to explore the neighborhood and take in a local pub. So in the middle of the week, after a day of driving and shooting around the Midlands, I set out for an evening stroll with my camera and tripod.
I grabbed this shot on my way to The Albany, the little neighborhood pub you see on beneath the overpass. Just follow the lines. You can’t miss it.
And if you stop in for a pint, be sure to say hello to Natasha, the bar tender.
Nice one, Bob. Really nice colors and processing and the lines leading under the bridge pull you right in.
Nice composition – a beer ad and the bridge with the leading lines to the pub all glowing and welcoming!
