Steel Case Desk

no images were found

I knew I wanted to shoot this desk when I walked past it on my first visit to the mill, but I only had an hour or so to shoot that morning (had to get to the day job). I wasn’t sure if that would be my only visit to the facility and I wanted to be sure I got the shots of the funky machinery and some of the other unique aspects of this facility. After all … Its just an old desk. If I can’t shoot it … no big deal. So I made a mental note to shoot the desk if I could go back.

Luckily, I was invited back to shoot again and was able to get this shot. When making that mental note, I didn’t realize how important the image would be to completing the picture of this old place. It does for me, at least. Be sure to click on the image for the big picture.

This is the last of the series for now. I have more images from this place, which will make their way to the Blog in time.

On another note:
This is my last blog post for a few days. I’m heading to Washington DC for the weekend to enjoy the festivities surrounding the Marine Corps Marathon. Injuries are preventing me from running it this year, but I am going down to support the runners running for Team Chris,  a charity I am very active in. I built in an extra day to do some shooting, but it looks like I may be competing with Hurricane Sandy, or Frankenstorm, as the media are calling it. Could be interesting.
