Light and Shadows
I still have a few images from an epic day of mill shooting with Dave Wilson back in September. This is one of them.
Our decision to start our day shooting outdoors at the Pacific Mill paid off in spades. For about two hours the late summer morning sun danced through the cavernous mill complex, offering us endlessly evolving compositions. I took this one to the dark side with a black and white conversion.
Maybe its just me, but I think these mills look great in Black and White.
It’s not just you, it’s a perfect B&W! nice job
I agree, the B&W looks great and helps to focus on the great brickwork.
I’m with Mike here, this is a great B&W. Most old building can look good in B&W especially if you can capture them without any of the trappings of modern day.
I’m in agreement with Mike and the other Mark on this one. Monochrome really works.
