Biggest Little City Life

After I ate dinner in Reno on that trip last spring I grabbed my camera and tripod and set out for a solo photo walk around the casino district. Outside of the Casinos, most of the businesses were closed. What else is there to do in The Biggest Little City in the World, besides gamble?

Most of the shots I got were of the neon variety. Having never been to Reno or Vegas, I was intrigued.

This is one of the first shots I grabbed. My hotel room overlooked the classic Reno Arch, so it was a natural first stop. My inclination was to shoot it straight on, which I did. But I also grabbed this shot. I thought the lone couple walking the strip added a nice human element to it.

I used a touch of onOne Software’s Focal Point to draw the eye to the sidewalk.
