NXNW Mafia

I got in late last night from an incredible weekend of shooting with some friends in Moab, Utah. It was almost non-stop photography from late Friday through Sunday night. Sunset and sunrise were key, so sleep was a casualty. There was little of it and, once the adrenaline kicked in, there seemed to be little need for it.
Needless to say, I have a lot of images to go through and a lot to show you in the upcoming days … er … weeks … er … months. Yeah. We did a lot of shooting.
Today’s image is a shot I grabbed of a few of the gang at Arches National Park. Meet Chris Nitz, Rick Louis, Dave Wilson and Michael Criswell. You’ll be hearing more about them as well as the other two guys on the trip, Justin Balog and Mark Garbowski as I go through the images.
About the title … “NXNW” is the acronym for North by Northwest, the name given to the annual Photo Blogger Meetup I am part of. The name was coined at last year’s first meetup in Oregon (which I missed). I added the “Mafia” part today. Since we felt like we owned every place we shot, it just seemed right.
Ah, I’m jealous. I noticed Justin’s blog went a little quiet and I wondered what was up. Dang, what a blast that must have been. Looking forward to some good Moab stuff.
The cool thing about this is…whenever a #nXnw image is posted, we will all remember how bad ass it was!
Dude, where can I buy a print of this?!?!
The crew looks great. What an amazing time.
Is that Einstein T-shirt cool or what?
