Night Vision

The night started as a light painting session but I wasn’t having much luck in that department. I was using a weak LED flashlight to paint the utility cart in the shot I posted yesterday. The light was pretty weak so it took me a while to fund the best approach. While I was ultimately happy with the shot, I considered it more of a learning experience than anything else.
Feeling somewhat deflated, I decided to turn my attention to more straightforward night photography. The light spilling into the office, the wide open third floor and this stairwell was just spectacular.
This is about a 40 second exposure shot with the 14mm lens. I boosted the color saturation and contrast in Nik Color Efex. Cropped square because I liked it better that way.
I plan to go back to light paint the Stone Mill. But next time, I’ll be better equipped.
Again, very nice Bob, love the lighting and colors, sweet work
Very cool vision.
