Darkness Fades

I revisited my images from the Moab trip this weekend. I reprocessed a couple and discovered a couple that I neglected in the initial passes, including this one.
This was shot from Mesa Arch about 20 minutes after dawn broke. Dave Wilson lead the “tonal compression” charge, switching to a long lens to compress the layers of tone created by the light and distance. I slapped on the 28-300 lens, thinking that I would go really long, which I did, but the shot that worked best for me was this one, taken at the 85mm mark.
Love the drama and layering in this piece, Bob, totally top drawer my friend!
