You can find Rocky Gorge on the eastern side of the Kancamagus Highway, a few miles from Conway. And I mean right on the highway. Unlike Sabbaday Falls, there is no half mile hike to get to the falls. The foot bridge over Rocky Gorge can be seen from the road.
From that bridge, I was able to get a good view of the falls to see where I wanted to shoot from. I noticed a low-lying rock ledge about a foot out of the water and relatively close to the falls. It looked like I could get down there with my tripod with some effort and care, so I went for it.
What’s better than a beautiful image without the need for any hiking? Really nice Bob.
This is magnificent.
I feel as if I could walk right into it.
And get very wet!!!
