I wasn’t sure what to call this image. It was shot from the Pacific Mill yard — one of my favorite places in Lawrence to shoot. I grabbed this shot (believe it or not) around noon during one the Historic Mills Photo Walks that I host with my friend, Steven Perlmutter. I used my 10 stop ND filter to try to take advantage of the slight wind nudging along the few lonely clouds that were kind enough to make an appearance that day.
This particular exposure was a bit underexposed. I embraced that in my BW processing. I adjusted the blue and cyan channels to darken the sky. I also added a graduated filter on the left in Lightroom to lighten the Pacific Mill in the foreground a bit.
Nice moody atmosphere Bob
