This is only one of two Moulton Barns on Mormon Row in the Tetons. It was built by Thomas Alma Moulton and his two sons, Clark and Harley. It served their families, protecting their livestock from the harsh Wyoming winters.
This barn all that remains of T.A. Mouton’s homestead. Little did they know when they built it that it would become the most photographed barn in America.
T.A. Molten’s brother, John Mouton’s homestead is about a quarter of a mile down the road. John’s barn, and many of the other buildings that made up his homestead, are still intact and very photogenic. Which you will see in a future post.
I have more images from this barn coming as well.
Absolutely WONDERFUL, Bob! This is one of the best shots of this icon I have seen, and I’ve seen a lot! Love the details and characters, and how it is all accented by your black-and-white processing. Totally awesome, I am looking forward to exploring more of your shots!
Luce, Again, not in only the photography but you paint such a beautiful picture with sharing everything behind each photo. Well Done Mate!!
