I ran the Marine Corps Marathon five times for Team Chris and attended it as a Team Chris Cheerleader four times. This year (last week) I attended in full cheerleading mode. And I had a blast.

Tim Scherer (the younger) and I went to mile one, then mile 4.5 to catch Tim’s sister Katie on the course. We then hopped onto the Metro and went to the National Mall to catch her and other Team Chris runners there.

Along the way I tried to put my camera to good use. Here is my favorite shot from the day. At the 4.5 mile mark there was a jazz band playing across the road from me, the runners streaming between us.
