Day 3: Tenney Castle
It is only the third day and I already realize how daunting this 365 Photos thing is going to be.
The first major challenge is, obviously, coming up with a new photograph every day for the entire year. I’ll have to deal with late days at the office, sick days, and of course, days where motivation refuses to show up. Today was one such day.
I had an early morning medical procedure (nothing serious) that required general anesthesia, leaving me in a state of total exhaustion for the remainder of the day. On top of that, I was told not to drive for the rest of the day. The last thing I wanted to do was to go out and shoot. But I dragged myself out the door (in the rain) for a short photowalk around the neighborhood.
That walk took me to the remains of Tenney Castle where I grabbed this. The Tenney is a local landmark. Built by a town founder back in the 19th century, Tenney Castle succumbed to fire in the 70s or 80s. After they were shored up, a park was built around the ruins.
