Day 105: Marathon Pride
On Monday over 30,000 athletes from around the year will make test their physical and mental endurance as they make their way from Hopkinson to Boston. The legendary 26.2 mile course is the Holy Grail for dedicated marathoners. Qualifying for the race is not easy and running it otherwise as a registered participant usually involves a raising ridiculous money for a charity. In short, running Boston is a big deal. It is something to be proud of.
With that in mind, I spent some time at the finish line today observing and photographing some of the runners as they lingered around the finish line, proudly stopping for photos at the BAA Boston Marathon Logo.
What is this, some kind of series?
Yes, it is! Throughout 2017 I’m attempting to take a new image every day and post it to this blog. Ambitious, I know. Success is not guaranteed, but I’ll give it my all. You can see all of the images below. Just click on a thumbnail and flip through them.
