Don’t panic. I’m not abandoning my “daily” images. It’s just that my recent trip to Grand Manan Island in New Brunswick, Canada is just begging for attention. So attention it shall have.
The trip was the brainchild of my friend, Steven Perlmutter. He asked me back in February if I wanted to join him on a late spring photography trip yp the coast of Maine and on to Grand Manan for a couple of days. He didn’t have to twist my arm.
We caught a glorious sunrise at our first stop, Old Orchard Beach and then some good shooting in Acadia National Park. But those were just appetizers. The main course was Grand Manan Island, the largest of the Fundy Islands in the Bay of Fundy.
The highlight of the trip was by far Swallowtail Lighthouse. So I’m starting these posts with this image, captured just after dawn.
And it is not even my favorite image from this location.
