Bartlett

During my visit to the White Mountains early last week I found myself driving through Bartlett as I headed back to the Kancamagus Highway on Bear Notch Road. There is a railroad crossing and a little train station there. I'd driven past it a number of times in the past but never stopped to shoot. Probably because I've never actually seen a train stopped at that little train station. This time I did. So I stopped.
As I was framing my initial shot I noticed the conductor out of the corner of my eye making his way back to the train from behind me. I grabbed a couple more frames and waited to see where he would end up. I assumed he would be boarding the train, which would have been cool enough for a shot, but he made his way to the center of my frame to (apparently) do some paper work.
