Silk and Stone
On nice summer days these little cascades of the Lower Falls are teeming with tourists cooling off from the summer heat. When I passed the falls back in December, the temperature was in the teens and the wind-chill forced the “feels-like” temperature below zero. The parking lot was closed off and banks of snow further restricted the limited room for cars in the short driveway.
But there were a couple of cars in the open space available. Kids with their parents (who I assumed did the driving) were as struck by the beauty of the cascades and decided to stop to check them out in spite of the frigid weather.
I stopped too. My fingers froze, but I got this shot.
Nice! I bet it was cold though. Is this near your house or in the mountains? Nice scene regardless
Thanks Mike… It was VERY cold. This was up on the Knacamagus Highway… the same road we drove on NXNW 2017.
