Methuen Memorial Music Hall

My hometown of Methuen, MA has a lot of history and a lot of cool architecture. That means of course, it has a lot to photograph. Unfortunately, I don’t often think to take advantage of all Methuen has to offer my camera. But I am making an effort to change that, starting today.

One of Methuen’s landmarks is the beautiful Memorial Music Hall, built exclusively to house the gigantic great organ, purchased by the City’s eccentric millionaire philanthropist, Edward Searles.

The organ sounds amazing. But you have to be inside to hear it. The Music Hall was designed to be soundproof; its walls are three feet thick.
