First Light on the Butte

The final morning on the trip for me was at this lone butte in the desert, which just happened to have this little pond — or puddle — in front of it. Maybe not *right* in front of it; the butte was at least a mile beyond where we were set up.

I say the final morning “for me” because I, and a couple of others, had to head back to Grand Junction, CO in the evening for an early flight home the next day. The rest of the guys grabbed one more sunrise at the Red Dunes before heading their own separate ways.

I was envious of missing that additional location, and had wished booked a longer trip, but I have no regrets. This was an incredibly productive and rewarding trip.

I hope you like this butte of an image.
(see what I did there?)
