Pre-Dawn at Goblin Valley
Goblin Valley may not be at the very top of my list of favorite locations from the recent NXNW trip to Utah — I think Marlboro Point holds the top spot, but it is at the very top of the list of locations that delivered the highest number of “keeper” images. That is, of course, due to the infinite number of possible compositions among the hundreds of hoodoos inhabiting the valley.
On our sunrise shoot I roamed among the hoodoos looking for a good composition to capture sunrise, settling on this spot. This was my initial framing of the scene — with the hoodoos framing the butte in the distance. I ended up reframing the shot for the sunrise, but not before grabbing this image.
Such a fun and unique place, great shot and nice framing as well
