Home of the Brave
Cisco, Utah was a stop on my first NXNW trip in 2013. Cisco was a ghost town with a few of the town’s original building still standing, some old cars and, on the edge of town, a couple of trailer homes. Of course we had to stop here again on this second visit.
This little ghost town has changed a bit since that first visit. While some of the original buildings remain, the bulk of the little town is now occupied by a few people who formed a funky “Art Residency.”
There were more trailer homes on the property than there were on our first visit, a lot of ad-hoc fencing with signs asking tourists to not photograph peoples’ homes. We respected that request and turned our attention to the public facing aspects of the community.
